PROBLEM STATEMENT
Instead of two humans trying to push each other out of a sumo ring, two robots try to attempt the same feat. The participant has to build a robot which should be able to push weights heavier than itself, should be able to defeat the opponent robot in the provided arena and should control the robot tactically and drive the opponent out of the arena.
ROBOT SPECIFICATIONS
1.The dimensions of the Robot must be 40cm x 40cm x 40cm.
2. Power supply must only be ON board.
3.Power supply given to the Robot should be 12V.
4. Robot can be wired or wireless.
5.Weight of the robot must be 6Kgs.
6. Tolerance of 5% is allowed on the dimensions and weight of the robot.
7. Destruction mechanism is strictly prohibited. One should not destroy arena and the opponent robot as well.
RULES:
1. A team can consist of a maximum of 4 members.
2. Members of different institutions can form a team.
3. Only 2 members of a team are allowed to stay around the arena (for controlling and assisting) and a team is allowed to play with one robot only.
4.If robot moves out of the arena twice, it will be considered as disqualified.
5. Any kind of damage to the arena will not be entertained, and if done, the robot will be immediately disqualified.
6. All the required accessories have to be brought by the participants.
7. No technical assistance will be provided by the coordinators during the time of the event.
8. No practice runs will be provided.
9. Use of an IC engine in any form is not allowed. 10. Human interference (e.g. touching the robot) during the game is not allowed.
10.Misbehaviour of any kind will not be tolerated and the team will be subjected to disqualification.
11.No external power supply will be provided at the time of event.
12. Lego kits are strictly prohibited and will lead to disqualification.
13.Participants with wired robots are advised to get wires of length 4m or more.
